The answer to this question is simple: yes and no. Okay, maybe it’s not so simple. But when it comes to the service industry, it’s obvious that the adage of “you get what you pay for” tends to dominate. Want a good waiter? Go to an expensive restaurant. Want a good haircut? Go to the expensive hair stylist.

That’s the common wisdom, at least. But if you want a little something more than the common wisdom, you’ll want to dig a little deeper and maybe see if there’s a great hair salon out there that doesn’t charge “great hair salon” prices.

It’s a tough economy worldwide right now, and that means people all over the world are trying to cut back on their style budget.

For many people, cutting back on their budgets means that house payments, rent payments, car payments, and other essential bills like groceries and heating will come first. Sure, having great style can be fantastic – but only if you’ve got the money to make it happen, right?

But there are exceptions to this rule. More dollars does not necessarily always equal better hair. A cheaper hair salon does not always guarantee that you’ll have a bad experience. If you can accept that, then you realize that you can find great style – in any economic climate.
